From Ambition to Action: Making circular value chains (internationally) competitive.

Experience the decisions. Trade-offs and partnerships needed to scale. Understanding the different roles within the value chain in order to scale the chain. (e.g. entrepreneur, financier, government, brand owner, etc.)

An interactive role-play exploring what it takes to scale a biobased value chain and make it competitive with fossil-based alternatives.

Participants will step into the roles of key players across the value chain, such as producers, off-takers, financiers and government and explore the 'help parameters' that can significantly influence competitiveness. Through an economic analysis and realistic scenarios, the session will examine how costs, risks, incentives and responsibilities are distributed across the chain, and what each player needs to do to close the gap between biobased and fossil-based solutions.

The session combines insights from research with a role-play, followed by a reflection on the different perspectives and the leadership needed to move the value chain towards scale.
